The interim Taliban government of Afghanistan has condemned the recent suicide bombing outside Islamabad’s G-11 courts and the terrorist attack on Cadet College Wana, terming both incidents “deeply tragic and reprehensible.”

According to sources, the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement expressing sorrow over the loss of precious lives in both attacks. “The explosion in Islamabad and the assault on the educational institution in Wana are regrettable and condemnable acts,” the statement read, adding that prayers were offered for the swift recovery of the injured.

A day earlier, a suicide blast outside Islamabad’s G-11 district courts claimed 12 lives and left 30 others injured. Two days prior, terrorists affiliated with Fitan-ul-Khawarij launched an assault on Cadet College Wana in South Waziristan, which was successfully repelled by security forces who killed all four attackers.

Security sources revealed that the terrorists involved in the Wana attack were in contact with handlers across the Afghan border. Meanwhile, Minister for Information Atta Tarar stated that solid evidence has been collected regarding both the Islamabad blast and the Wana assault, which will be presented at international forums.
