Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has claimed that 11 suspects have so far been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a man and a woman whose killing was caught on video and widely circulated on social media.
CM Bugti took notice of the horrific incident after the video of the double murder went viral, showing a man and a woman being shot dead in what appears to be an honour killing.
According to the chief minister, the victims shown in the video have been identified, and operations to apprehend the culprits are ongoing.
In a social media statement, Sarfraz Bugti announced that 11 suspects had been apprehended in the case so far. “All those involved in this heinous act will be brought to justice,” he said, adding that the state stands with the oppressed.
Earlier, the chief minister had revealed that preliminary investigations suggest the incident occurred a few days before Eid, although the video only recently surfaced online.

Following the video's emergence, Bugti said he had directed police to launch an immediate operation. A case was registered under anti-terrorism laws on behalf of the state, and one suspected killer involved in the woman’s murder was arrested while search efforts for the remaining suspects were underway.
Two More Suspects Arrested
In the latest development, two additional suspects identified in the viral video have also been taken into custody, bringing the total number of arrests to 13. According to police, the arrested include the man seen firing the weapon and another individual visible in the footage.
Police further stated that a tribal leader named Sher Baz is among the arrested individuals. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are confident that the remaining suspects will soon be apprehended.
Meanwhile, a formal case has been registered in Sanjidi Degari, Balochistan, where the murders took place.
